SQUAT & TOUCH
PHONETIC CUE ‘Squat and touch left, stand,
right, stand’
Squat Down. Reach R hand towards the step, L
arm out to the L side 1-2
Squat Up, stand tall. Fists to hips 3-4
Repeat to the other side 5-8
· Brace abs with chest up
· Tip forward from the hips
· Bend knees heaps, keep butt above knee
level
· Fingertips towards the center of the step,
in line with mid body
· Eye gaze in front of fingers
· If you have the range to place your palm onto
the step, that is fine
4x MARCH ON TOP
PHONETIC CUE ‘March on top 4, 3, 2, 1, walk
on the floor, 4, 3, 2, 1, walk on the floor’
March On Top L, R, L, R. RA 1-4
March On The Floor L, R, L, R. RA 5-8
· Whole foot on the step
· Natural walking rhythm
2x REPEATER KNEE LIFT & MARCH
PHONETIC CUE ‘Knee, knee, walk on the floor,
