simple Layer 1 cues.
TECHNIQUE & COACHING
WIDE BOUNCE TAP
• Tap outside shoulders, knees super soft,
inside heel lift, weight on the balls of the feet,
bouncing down through the legs
• Outside leg cross in front, slight turn of the
chest, travel F, arms super loose with natural
swing
WIDE HIP ROLL
• Feet outside shoulders, knees soft, hip roll,
walking the heels on the beat
• Chest lifted, arms long and relaxed
• Step together L, feet shoulder width, face R,
travel F
• Shuffle B, weight on the balls of the feet,
sharp, feet under hips, dropping heavy into
supporting leg, sight release through F heel
LOUD COMBO
• Double tap outside shoulder width, weight in
the heels, toe wide, bouncing down through
the legs
• Knees soft, step together at shoulder width, F
hip roll, face side, travel F
• Chest lifted, arms long and relaxed
• Shuffle B, weight on the balls of the feet,
sharp, feet under hips, dropping heavy into
supporting leg, slight release through F heel
• Outside arm swing to chest height, hand open,
palm F, head turns out
• Increase range
COACHING
WIDE BOUNCE TAP
You need to get grounded in this move. Say
something like:
“Put the weight in your heels”
WIDE HIP ROLL
When it comes to the Loud Combo, lay the
foundations for the footwork early. Say something
like:
“Step your right leg”
“Roll your hips to the right”
“Find the beat”
“Lift your heels off the floor”
